    • The therapies used in East Asian medicine can treat the issues that are contributing to infertility. These range from general inflammation in the body to endometriosis, PCOS, advanced maternal age, and diminished ovarian reserve.

  • East Asian medicine (acupuncture, herbs, lifestyle changes, etc.) is best initiated as soon as possible. Incorporating East Asian medicine at least 2-3 months prior to egg retrieval or IUI allows time for your body to absorb the health benefits of CM.

    Along with the preparation for IVF/IUI day, acupuncture is scheduled as follows in the days surrounding your embryo transfer/IUI:

    For embryo transfer:

    Schedule two acupuncture treatments on the day of transfer or within 24 hours before and after embryo transfer.  The next acupuncture treatment should be 3-5 days after your embryo transfer. Treatments continue through the first trimester and as needed thereafter.

    For IUI:

    Schedule acupuncture the day of or 24 hours before your IUI. The next treatment should be 5-7 days after IUI. Treatments continue through the first trimester and as needed thereafter.
