  • IBS-Abdominal Pain

I have worked with Dr. Rice for over one year on a matter doctors could not treat without heavy medicine, which I did not want to do. On our first meeting, I felt comfortable to talk to her about my problems. IBS is not really talked about but Dr. Rice knew how to treat it. Even when I had attacks, her treatment was always helpful to me and she made time for me when I needed it. I highly recommend Dr. Rice! -Barbara

  • Infertility

I firmly believe the reason that my IVF cycle was successful this time was because of my acupuncture treatments with Rebecca. Every step of my IVF cycle I responded more positively, and was much more relaxed throughout the whole process. I am now expecting triplets and continue to see Rebecca once a week. -Colleen

  • Wellness

My experience working with Dr. Rice has been nothing short of wonderful. I am so grateful for the care and compassion she has shown me. I’ve been receiving weekly acupuncture from Dr. Rice over the summer, and the inroads to real, radiant well being have just been astonishing. It is so good to have found someone who can help me work through the years of blocks and deficiencies, really overhauling myself into health. Aided by the herbs and dietary changes she recommended, I’ve felt such a difference.I am so glad to have finally found real health care, not just symptomatic cover-up care. -Erica

  • Chronic Pain

My sister and I had similar damage to our Achilles tendons, causing significant pain and greatly reducing physical mobility and activity. We were referred by separate podiatrists for surgery. My sister followed her podiatrist’s recommendation-two separate surgeries removed her big toe tendons, using them to replace the damaged Achilles tendons. Following each surgery, she endured eight non-weight-bearing weeks, then four weeks in a walking boot and approximately six weeks of physical therapy. I couldn’t afford the extended post-surgery recovery periods; and, having once enjoyed practicing yoga, I didn’t want to lose my big toe tendons. I arrived at the first acupuncture appointment limping and in considerable pain. In addition to Achilles tendon tears, my heels have bone spurs and Haglund’s deformities (heel bone protrusions). After several months of weekly acupuncture treatments with Rebecca, the pain was greatly reduced and I experienced greater mobility and longer periods of comfort during physical activity. Over time, as bimonthly maintenance treatments for my heels continued, Rebecca and I regularly identify other areas for treatment that improve my overall physical function, comfort and mobility. I have continually been impressed by Rebecca’s intuitive assessments and subsequent treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Rebecca Rice to anyone seeking to improve their physical health, mobility and comfort. -Stephanie

  • Infertility

An Infertility Story: Acupuncture was recommended to me during the midst of a challenging period of infertility. We had been trying to conceive for over two years with no luck, and had just been officially diagnosed with ‘unexplained infertility.’ We had begun visits to a fertility clinic, and I was desperate to try all avenues to conceive our first child. I was also very concerned about the impact of the medications and procedures on my body. I was new to acupuncture, and was not sure what to expect, but the experience was incredible, uplifting, and amazing. Dr. Rice could not have been better as an ally and advocate for my mental and physical well being. She answered many of my preliminary questions over the phone, and spent a lengthy first session getting to know me, my habits, and my issues. Her procedures were always explained clearly and carefully. Dr. Rice was also a calm in they eye of the storm for me – always a relaxing presence, who consistently brought me back to my body and its ability, not its disability, to make things happen. The sessions were a time for me to relax and take care of myself, and I left feeling refreshed and ready to take on whatever was next for us. I felt physically better than I had in a long time, and the suggested supplements I was taking in conjunction with the acupuncture helped with my whole body – digestion, clearer thinking, better attitude, even better skin! -A.S.

“To wait for the illness to develop before remedying it, for the disorder to form before taking care of it, is to wait until one is thirsty before digging the well”
